A leading luxury client hosted an unforgettable private dinner at Control Room A, transforming the historic space into an immersive showcase of refinement and design. The brief: deliver a high-impact, high-touch evening in a venue with presence - one that many guests would be experiencing for the first time. The evening began with a grand arrival via the Directors Entrance, where guests were welcomed by lantern-lit steps and a striking floral installation framed by the building’s original iron doors. Inside the Directors Bar, guests were greeted with champagne and invited to explore a curated showcase, complete with a bespoke leatherette-clad bar, branded gobo lighting, and a scalloped-edge photo wall that provided a moment of glamour and interaction.
Dinner was held in Control Room A, where a long table setup ran the length of both wings, accentuated by bay window draping and soft lighting to create an intimate and luxurious atmosphere. Custom stages were built into the central heritage desks for speeches and entertainment, carefully designed to blend with the bar detailing for visual continuity. 1920s-style lighting and Art Deco accents drew attention to the grandeur of the architecture, while maintaining a sense of warmth and exclusivity.
Guests enjoyed a four-course seasonal menu crafted by Last Supper, featuring dishes such as smoked cep with winter truffle and wood-roasted beef with miso aubergine, followed by a bespoke branded dessert. Post-dinner cocktails were served with custom ice cubes and names that paid tribute to timeless design and modern indulgence.
Pinstripes & Peonies elevated the aesthetic across all spaces with curated florals: a meadow-inspired installation around the showcase, Art Deco bud vases along the dinner tables, and antique-style lamps nestled among early winter blooms. Each space was designed to flow seamlessly into the next, creating a continuous journey of elegance and discovery.
Guests were treated to a live 1920s-inspired jazz performance, along with a speech from one of the original architects behind the Power Station’s transformation - bringing depth and storytelling to the evening’s setting.
